Romantic Pennsylvania Homestead Farm Wedding

2016 is almost at an end, and while I think back on my year, I realized how extremely blessed I am to not only have photographed many repeat client’s, but to have also gained a lot of new client’s and friends. I photographed my first ever destination wedding in California, which was a complete DREAM. I got to do a lot of traveling, and therefore got to shoot in a lot of really unique places! When I think back on my year, I really am truly in love with every single client and session I photographed. My style as a boudoir and wedding photographer has grown and transcended due to my time spent working in a photo studio- who would have thought. Instead of sharing the typical “Year in Review”, I really wanted to share one of my favorite weddings to date, since it has yet to hit the blog. Here’s to an even better year in 2017- this next year I am focusing more on my growth as a business owner, something that hasn’t gotten as much attention as I would have liked in 2016 :) Read below about Hannah + Kurt’s gorgeous Pennsylvania wedding.

Hannah + Kurt are a beautiful, young couple dedicated to living a simple life, off their land. They purchased their home, nestled in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, complete with a farm and acres and acres of land, with the hopes of creating a beautiful life for their daughter Luna. It also made for the perfect wedding venue for this laid back, eclectic couple. Hannah made everything herself, from the table settings and party favors, to the beautiful wooden arch they said "I do", beneath. Hannah's dress was non-traditional, being a combination of a victorian inspired lace top, paired with a beautiful long skirt. She completed the look with copper accents in her jewelry. It was absolutely the most stunning combination EVER. Her good friend and bridesmaid created all of the beautiful floral crowns and even accented Hannah's gorgeous loose braid with romantic, deep red roses. Blueberry twigs were intertwined, as blueberries have been Hannah’s favorite since she was a little girl. This couple was specifically excited about having romantic, whimsical photos taken around their property, utilizing the barn, the land, and even incorporating their chickens and hens!

Hannah + Kurt wanted a private "first look", tucked away in a little pine forest around the corner from their house. Once the first look was over, friends and family began to gather around as we completed couple and bridal party portraits. Friends and family danced and drank the night away on their gorgeous property, lit by twinkly lights and a bonfire. You could literally feel the love in the air all night long. This is hands down one of my favorite weddings to date, and I am sure so many brides-to-be can find inspiration in all of the simple little moments captured throughout this day!
