I know booking a boudoir session sounds terrifying with a capital T.
I get it. How? Because I was once in your position. I once felt vulnerable anytime I stepped in front a camera. I felt awkward and unsure and scared and “not enough”. After I received my first boudoir session, the entire trajectory of my life changed. Not only did I realize I wanted to be a boudoir photographer but I began to truly see myself for the first time in my life. I saw my body as a beautiful and worthy and powerful vessel. I looked at myself lovingly for the first time… ever.
It was scary, but it was also beautiful. It was the first time I felt like I might actually begin healing from my eating disorder.
If I hadn't taken that scary jump into the unknown (doing a boudoir session) I don't know if I'd even be writing this email right now. I don't know if I'd own this business. I don't know if we would even be connected or if you would be reading this. What's my point?
My point is that doing scary things can lead to really beautiful things.
Doing scary things, is important. It's vital, even. To grow, we have to challenge ourselves, the way we think, and the way we are existing. We have to challenge our beliefs and what we've been taught.
A boudoir session is not just about beautiful photos.
Sure, you will have THE most amazing gallery of gorgeous photos to cherish forever- yes. But it's about the journey before, the journey during, and the journey after. It's about allowing someone (me) to hold space for you. It's about so.much.more. It’s the ultimate act of self love. It’s about cherishing who you are right here, right now. It’s about honoring your body, mind, and spirit. You are worth it.
I want to be a part of your journey, my friend.
I want to scoop you up and love you up with affirming words and validation. I want you to see what I see- a big, beautiful soul. A whole ass human. A beautiful spirit.
