Adding Video Onto Your Session Experience | Oceanside, California Boudoir Photographer

Still imagery is beautiful and tells the story of you and your photoshoot with me, but adding video on to your session is honestly just -

S P I C Y.

But what does it mean to have a digital video from your session? And why would you want to add it on? I am sure a lot of you are probably wondering.

A digital video is a fun + different way to give life to your session through movement. During your session, you’re holding poses that I guide you through, but there is something so extra special about capturing that same moment and mood in digital video and even Super8 film.

Digital video can be added on to your session at the time of booking or as little as 2 weeks before your session!

“WHY would I want to add video onto my session experience?”

Video brings to life the energy and mood of your session and the poses we do throughout it. Every session (and client) brings a different energy and personality to their shoot with me and a video can best show off those.

Video also gives us the opportunity to get even more creative with posing and the overall energy because we are playing with movement.

Maybe your outfit has a lot of fun fabric or perhaps you love your long hair and want to capture that movement. Film + video is the perfect way to do that.

“I can barely model for photos - I do not know what to do for a video. Will you help me?”

Yes, OF COURSE. This goes without saying! When you add on a digital or Super8 film to your experience, I will be mapping out a separate shot list so you don’t have to do any thinking or planning.

Just like when I am taking photos, I will guide you with specific movements to do based on your outfit and the lighting we are working in for a specific pose. You will never be left to guess or wonder, “what am I supposed to do?”

And if you start laughing mid way or forget what to do, guess what? We can start over as many times as needed! That’s the beauty of digital.

“How do I add on the digital video to my session?”

When you book your session and choose your date, I will follow up with a Welcome Guide where you will be able to select from a variety of session add ons such as the Digital Video, Super8 film, Wet Set, or extra shoot time / outfits.

You will then be invoiced for your add ons and once you complete your invoice, you are good to go! From there, since I will likely have a good idea of your outfits and general vibe from our Style Guide Experience (part of the prep process when you book a shoot with me), I will map out our shot list and organize it in a way so that we are shooting video effortlessly throughout the full session. I do this as seamlessly as possible so that you don’t have to change in and out of outfits etc. I create this ahead of time to maximize our time together in the studio!

The complete video will be anywhere from :40 seconds to a minute in length and you can choose a song you’d like to pair it to, or I can make that selection for you!

The final file will be delivered to you to download and keep!
