Editorial Maternity Session | Oceanside, California Boudoir Photographer

If you’ve been here a long time, you know that I don’t do things the way everyone else does things.

That means, you’ll never see the same types of photos that other photographers take - especially for maternity sessions.

The best part about being a photographer is the fact that I get to do things my way. I get to help my client’s envision themselves in a way they might not have realized was possible.

My clients book with me because they want something different. My client Grace was adamant that she did not want her maternity photos to look like the typical “big gown, sunset, beach” vibe that you see all over San Diego. Not that that style doesn’t have it’s time of place, butttttt, I like to photograph my clients the way I would want to be photographed. And if I were ever preggo, you just wouldn’t catch me doing that. I would want the more editorial, lifestyle, fashion magazine approach. That’s exactly what Grace wanted.

Grace also made it clear that she’s not an overly sexual person and wanted her photos to feel more feminine and lifestyle than sexy and boudoir. I live for this! I think anytime we can exist in the boudoir space while honoring someones comfort level and doing them justice in posing them in a way that feels cool, modern, edgy, and fun and less sexual - that’s my VIBE. So, I bring you Grace’s maternity session!
