That 70’s Inspired Boudoir Session | Oceanside, California Boudoir Photographer

So much of what makes boudoir such a fun + unique experience, is how my clients make their sessions their own; through what they wear, their makeup choices, accessories, hair styling, etc. Thinking only of themselves and what makes THEM feel good.

More and more, my clients come to me post-separation or divorce from their partner. They are wanting to reclaim their power and feel more grounded into themselves as individuals- sometimes for the first time ever.

I love that my client was on board for this 70’s “lords of dogtown” surfy, southern california inspired vibe. This look is beautiful and fierce because it has NOTHING to do with strappy lingerie and the male gaze. It is entirely about my client.

The other amazing thing is that this look can be created super sustainbly. Everything she is wearing is clothing she already owned and had tucked away in her closet.

Doing a boudoir session doesn’t mean you have to spend hundreds of dollars on brand new lingerie. Sure, that’s fun and also a part of the process if that makes sense for you, but it really is super easy to use things we already own!
